The Blue Faced Leicester champion, a ram lamb, sold for 20,000 guineas. The tup from Alan McClymont and his sons, Sam and Oliver, Kirkstead, went to David Jones, Y Ddol, Llanbadarn Fynydd. The championship was judged the night before by Brian Dallyn and was said to have ‘oozed class from nose to tail’. It was the highlight of the breed sale, which saw a huge uplife on the year and a 96% clearance rate.
