Ram Sale Will Proceed

The NSA Wales & Border Ram Sales will be going ahead, as planned, at the Royal Welsh Showground on Monday 20^th September, albeit with the NSA inspections having been withdrawn. Some breed societies will continue to do their own inspections.

Organisers say they have decided to suspend the inspection of sheep at this year's sale as a precaution against Covid infection. In a fast changing situation, it was felt it would be irresponsible to expect people to work as closely as they have to in order to carry out the inspections.

Executive Director, Jane Smith, stressed that the measure was simply a precaution. The organizers of the NSA Wales & Border Sales wanted to ensure they had done everything possible to protect against the spread of Covid. The sale is going ahead exactly as planned, with all possible precauctions in place. These include the provision of sanitisers and masks.
