Ram Sales Founder Member Presentation

Nearly forty years service with the NSA Wales & Border Ram Sales culminated in the presentation of a pair of engraved crystal whisky tumblers to founder member John L Davies of Rhydmoelddu, Llananno, Llandrindod Wells. Chairman John Owens paid tribute to the vision and dedication of John Davies and the tremendous achievements of the original committee.
John L Davies said he was ‘bowled over’ by the presentation and would look on his gift with pleasure for the rest of his life. He had been convinced back in the 1970s that the sales would ideally suit a district with a tremendous number of rams and he was delighted at the progress that had been made.
John and his late wife, Sue, were, for decades, familiar faces at the sale with their Hampshire Down sheep. John still sells at the sales.
